I am planning on leaving Harlingen, not forever, but for a time. This website will serve as my map back to Harlingen, hence the name Harlingen Maps. I think a crucial part of travel is knowing who are you and from where you came. I am Brandon Colker, and I come from Harlingen. I’m a Texas native, born in Dallas, raised in San Antonio but have made Harlingen my home for over 25 years.

My next couple of years will be spent traveling the world. Where? I don’t quite know yet. My plan is to begin heading East, stopping first in Miami (hopefully to catch a Marlins game), North to New York then on to Honduras.

I have a great friend in Erik Pitoniak who will serve as my guide and I’ll hopefully be able to continue reading the Aussie Nomad for inspiration.

After Honduras, Australia and the US I want to spend some time in Europe. While in Europe, Julie Falconer and Kate (The Lost Londoner) will be my guides. When I say “my guide” I will be using their website for inspiration and ideas. If they want to actually guide me around, that would be great as well, but I haven’t even contacted them!
